As a 90s kid and NES retrogamer I must give this one a 10/10. It's a masterpiece. And I see, the comments are 3 years old now, but I hope this project didn't got abandoned.

Cool graphics and great music. I never got the hang of shooting the pom-pom, it just seemed a little too confusing for me

Thank you for your kind comments! :D
Yeah, quite a few people that played the game seemed to think the pom-pom was a bit unwieldy to deal with. That's definitely something we'll have to revisit once we start expanding the game.
I guess the thought behind it was that, while the B button is held down, you're in aiming mode and the d-pad doesn't affect your movement at all. Then, releasing B will shoot the pom-pom in the direction that is currently being held.
Now, this does mean that you have to release B before changing directions on the d-pad which is admittedly a bit finicky.

Yeah, maybe something like you hold tap B and it moves in the direction the player is pressing?

Trirosmos, whatta you talkin' 'bout? I've finished Chocoblip in less than 5 minutes with 2 lifebar points (because of a screwy bat that kept slamming me into the lava), but I've finished it in the first try. I absolutely love it! And I've recorded it.

Amazing game and sweet soundtrack.

9.9/10

Things missing:

- A sequel, because i want more of it! XD
